The 2022 KLX300SM is a lightweight, fun-loving supermoto built to bring serious agility and street-friendly thrills. It uses a compact 292 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine paired with a 6-speed transmission, which gives responsive power and friendly rideability in town or on twisty back-roads. The chassis is nimble: 17-inch front and rear wheels with street tires, supermoto-tuned suspension (43 mm inverted fork up front and a Uni-Trak® rear shock), and a large 300 mm front petal disc brake (with 240 mm in the rear) to match. The seat height is about 33.9 in (860 mm), making it accessible to a wide range of riders, and curb weight comes in around 304 lb (138 kg) in U.S. spec. With a fuel capacity of around 2.0 gallons (~7.5 L), it’s built more for fun than long-haul touring, delivering a playful package that blends dirt-bike roots with street-ready mechanics.
